The photographs in this section were taken by Jim Robin (11) on a ‘free’ camera he got in early 1969 by saving up the wrappers from ice lollies (FABS), (purchased at Tait’s Filling Station, Carmunnock), and sending them away.

Once there, if you want to download the full-size version of the picture: right click it, choose ‘Save Target As...’, navigate to a suitable folder on your hard disk, and choose ‘Save’. Thus you will acquire the ‘full-size’ or ‘target’ version of the picture, and not just the smaller version as represented on its web page. Whereas, if you only want to see the full-size picture on-screen, simply left-click the picture itself (with the wee pointy hand). Easy peasy.

However, because some of these files are quite large, if you’re on a dial up connection, ‘saving’ and ‘viewing’ full-size could take some time. So, please be patient.
