The above is a biology table 1F completed one Tuesday afternoon in 1969. The class was divided into groups and you had to measure your neighbour’s statistics and write them down. Needless to say, we got a good few laughs in the process.

Meanwhile, this’ll largely be engaging to either: those involved at the time, or people who know them now - or knew them then. Whereas my own observations run thus:

1. Is ‘wee’ John Ferguson now ‘big’ John Ferguson?
2. Did William (Billy) Ferguson (unrelated to John) ever take up piano playing? He certainly had the makings of hands for it. Great for those ‘walking tenths’ in the bass.
3. All the boys named (except Jim Robin {our photographer} & William Ferguson) are featured in one of the playground pictures displayed elsewhere on this site.
4. Is not ‘development’ a wonderful thing?
