Rutherglen Academy Pictures
A group of mostly 1F, but also 1G, boys captured in the front playground beside the science annexe - probably from the dinner hall on the top floor of the spur. I can’t imagine why we were in the gurls’ playground that day. We usually weren’t allowed.
A version of the above with most names...
A view of the boys’ playground looking north and featuring David McGuire (1F) centre stage ‘on the ball’. But who’s the other boy we can see on the right of the picture walking towards the camera? Any ideas?
Our illustrious photographer as he looked around the time these photos were taken. Cute or what? Actually this pic is from a couple of years earlier when Jim was a pupil at Mount Florida Primary. But by ’69 he hadn’t changed much.
Me aged 12 ‘posing’ at home after school in standard Rutherglen Academy regalia. The sort of boy whose face you longed to slap? You bet! I was a cheeky torag in those days, and got belted a lot for impertinence. Quite right too!
